Cafe manager

Main duties include:

• Managing and daily operation of the cafe;
• Planning and organizing special functions or events;
• Liaising with the kitchen to plan new and update existing menu;
• Ensure customer services are carried out according to business standards;
• Deal with customer inquiries and complaints;
• Preparing and maintaining the financial-related records, and regularly reviewing and updating internal systems and policies;
• Managing stock level, ordering and liaising with suppliers;
• Managing staff roster, control labour cost;
• Overseeing the working performance and recruitment of the staffs, and providing training to new staff;
• Enduring the facilities comply with health and safety regulations;

Requirements from you:

• At least NZQF Diploma Level 5 OR three-year relevant work experience;
• Strong staff management skills;
• A strong understanding and experience in business management including, budge control and KPI achievement;
• Experience in managing labour budgets and relevant expenses;
• Great communication and customer service skills;
• A good team player;
• Hands-on and able to operate successfully in a high-pressure environment

Other job details

• $30 - $35 per hour
• Minimum 30 hours per week according to a roaster
