This cook role would suit someone who is interested in growing their career and developing within our business. This role is guaranteed of a minimum of 30 working hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate of $23.50 to $30 for the right candidate.
Key tasks of role include :
• Prepare and cook a range of modernized Korean dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to refine menu items and experiment with new recipes.
• Ensure the quality, consistency, and presentation of all dishes, following the restaurant's established guidelines.
• Participate in kitchen operations, including food prep, stock control, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Ensure all food safety regulations and hygiene standards are adhered to.
• Assist in training junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, ensuring the development of skills and consistent performance.
• Implement all hygiene and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Ideal candidates are expected to have the followings :
- Commerical cookery experience essential for 2 years or more
- Experience on Korean food and ingredients preferred
- Flexible availability as the position require to work on night shift and weekends
- Positive attitude to work as a team player
