Are you a Clinical Psychologist with a passion for supporting tamariki and rangatahi? This 12-month maternity leave cover role is a unique opportunity to join a dedicated CAMHS team making a difference in the lives of young people across the Manawatū region.

You'll work in a supportive, multi-disciplinary service delivering accessible, evidence-based mental health care to children, adolescents, and their whānau.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Provide psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions for tamariki and rangatahi
  • Deliver individual and group therapy (CBT, DBT, ACT or similar)
  • Collaborate with schools, whānau, and healthcare partners
  • Participate in service development and clinical planning
  • Contribute to a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and family-centred approach

  • Registration with the New Zealand Psychologists Board (Clinical Scope)
  • Experience in CAMHS or strong interest in youth mental health
  • Confidence in delivering evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, ACT)
  • Cultural competence and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • A calm, empathetic, and creative approach to working with young people
  • Excellent communication skills and team collaboration
