Mix'd is a stylish, modern water front cocktail bar in Ahuriri, Napier. We are looking for a hospo superstar to be in overall charge of managing the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high quality standards and maximising business profitability.
Duties include, but aren’t limited to:

Operational management, overseeing all daily operations of the bar to ensure smooth and efficient workflow, quality control of all food and drink, implementing and upholding safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers

Staff management, including hiring, training, rostering, performance reviews and compliance

Stock and inventory management, ordering supplies and managing waste

Financial management, assisting with budgets, optimizing business profitability, tracking sales and managing expenses

Health and safety compliance, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, licencing regulations and ensuring staff comply with safe alcohol serving practices

Marketing and promotion, including developing special events and strategies to increase business revenue, promoting and maintaining our website and social media accounts

Customer service, ensuring all customers receive excellent service, handling complaints and issues in a professional manner and maintaining a welcoming bar atmosphere
Requirements:

2-3 years proven experience in a fast-paced hospitality role (Manager position preferred, but not required);

Current Duty Managers License;

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage, motivate and inspire a team;

Ability to work flexible hours, up to 50 hours per week, including nights, weekends and public holidays;

Proven experience with Hospitality POS systems (Bustle preferred), including the back-of-house system;

Experience in Website Design, SEO and Social Media preferred, but not required;

Business financial experience required, namely budgeting and financial management;

Detailed knowledge of wine and spirits, preferably a formal wine or spirits qualification.
Minimum guaranteed hours 40+.
