Job Duties for Assistant to the Marketing and Operations Manager

We are looking for two Administrative Assistant to support our Marketing Manager and Operations Manager in daily operational and marketing functions for our company. This is a full-time role, offering a pay rate of $25 - $28 per hour, depending on experience. You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 50 hours per week. The position will be based in Christchurch, in the Canterbury region.

Marketing Support:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Help manage social media accounts by creating, scheduling, and monitoring content.
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Support the development of promotional materials, including brochures, presentations, and website content.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the company website and digital marketing assets.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and campaigns.

Operations Support:

  • Assist in coordinating day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Support inventory management, procurement, and vendor coordination.
  • Help with scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and productivity.
  • Provide administrative support, including document preparation and data entry.

General Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain organized documentation of marketing and operational activities.
  • Support event planning and execution, including logistics and promotional efforts.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Marketing and Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • Preferred experience in administrative support, marketing, or operations (experience in both fields is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic marketing tools (e.g., social media platforms, email marketing software).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude, with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
