Ithai Limited is looking for three restaurant supervisors (who also act as duty managers) to join our team in serving authentic Thai food.
Requirements

At least 2 years of related work experience

At least NZ Register Diploma (Level 5) qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification)

Must have a Licence Controller Qualification approved by NZQA

Job Descriptions

Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high service standards.

Assist in training and mentoring team members to improve performance and customer service.

Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and promptly.

Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and place orders as necessary.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety regulations.

Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws, including responsible service of alcohol and age verification.

Monitor alcohol service to customers, intervene when necessary, and ensure responsible consumption.

Train and supervise staff in responsible alcohol service practices.

Assist in cash handling, daily financial transactions, and reconciliation.

Support promotional activities and implement marketing initiatives.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant to meet operational standards.

Act as the point of contact for staff issues in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.

Provide input on staff scheduling and rostering to optimize operations.

This is a full-time and permanent position

The wage is $26.50 to $30.00 per hour, with weekly payments

Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

We have three different branches:
(1) 322 Wakefield Quay, Stepneyville, Nelson
(2) 39 Elliott Street, Auckland
(3) 16C Vanguard Street, Nelson City

You will be required to be based at one branch, as agreed upon signing the employment agreement. However, you may be required to travel or relocate to the other branches, and we will consult with you about this beforehand.

You will be required to work according to a roster, 5–6 days per week, with a guarantee of 30 hours (maximum 48 hours).
