Hours per Week: Fixed 34 hours per week

Pay Rate: $48,000 per annum

Days Required: Weekdays, weekends, and public holidays including evenings

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Restaurant Manager to lead and oversee the operation of one of our restaurants in the Canterbury region. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to create an outstanding customer experience while managing daily operations efficiently.

As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant, maintaining high food and service standards, and achieving financial targets. You will be an essential part of creating a welcoming environment for both customers and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring a seamless dining experience for all customers
  • Manage and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
  • Ensure all employees deliver high-quality service and adhere to company standards
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or complaints
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain food quality and consistency
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Manage stock, place orders, and control costs
  • Work to achieve financial goals, including sales targets and cost control
  • Implement marketing initiatives to drive restaurant traffic and increase revenue, 
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative working environment

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or higher level qualification relevant to business and/or three years or more work experience in hospitality
  • Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of Asian cuisines
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in marketing strategies and tactics 
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software is a plus
