About the Business:
Long BBQ Ltd is a busy Chinese BBQ-style eatery located in Auckland, offering traditional roast meats and casual dining services. We are looking for a reliable and experienced Team Leader / Supervisor to help support our daily front-of-house operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and lead front-of-house staff to ensure efficient and friendly customer service

    • Coordinate staff rosters, breaks, and task allocation

    • Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally

    • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies

    • Oversee cash handling and reconcile daily takings

    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards

    • Assist in staff training and onboarding of new employees

    • Support the manager in opening and closing duties

Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least 12 months of relevant experience in a restaurant, takeaway, or café setting

  • or a Relevannt Level 5 Diploma or above  may substitute for the required experience. such as public administration field/businesses/management. Qualification that demonstrates strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills that are highly valuable in a supervisory position.

  • Able to lead a small team in a fast-paced environment

  • Good communication and basic English skills

  • Reliable, hard-working, and willing to work weekends/public holidays

  • Knowledge of Asian cuisine and customer service expectations is a plus
