We are a Fast-Food restaurant [Pizza shop] looking for an enthusiastic and capable candidate for the Shop Assistant [Restaurant Assistant] position to assist in running the day-to-day operations of our busy store. 

No qualification or work experience required, we will provide all the necessary training. It is a Full-time role working minimum 30 hours per week including evening shifts and weekends, we need people who are committed and turn up to work on time unless they have a reasonable excuse.

Essential Requirements:

You would be required to perform the following duties not limited to:

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional manner.

  • Take customer orders accurately (in person, over the phone, or online).

  • Provide information about menu items, ingredients, and special offers.

  • Address concerns or complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Prepare pizza dough, toppings, and other menu items according to the restaurant’s standards.

  • Assemble and garnish pizzas before cooking.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

  • Follow hygiene and food safety standards in food handling and preparation.

  • Operate pizza ovens and bake pizzas to the correct temperature and quality.

  • Monitor cooking times to ensure pizzas are cooked properly.

  • Regularly clean and maintain the pizza oven.

  • Clean kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment following health and safety regulations.

  • Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including wiping tables and stocking restrooms.

  • Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling practices.

  • Manage stock inventory, including checking ingredients like cheese, sauce, dough, toppings, etc.

  • Place orders for supplies when necessary.

  • Rotate and manage stock effectively to avoid wastage.

  • Work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth service during peak hours.

  • Assist team members in their duties as needed.

  • Follow instructions from supervisors and work in a team-oriented environment.

  • Handle cash transactions, including receiving payments, giving change, and using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

  • Help with order packing and delivery for take-out or delivery services when required.

  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ensure compliance with local health department regulations.
