Work Location: Christchurch

Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 30 hours / per week, Tuesday to Saturday), Permanent position

 

Our pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour depending on personal ability

 

We are a busy bakery shop based in Christchurch.

 

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 1 Asian fusion Baker to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for baking, attention to details, ability to multi-task and be a proactive member of the team.

Ideal candidate need to meet one of below requirement:

- At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the same field or industry, or

- Have a relevant level 4 qualification, or a bachelor level or higher qualification in any field or discipline

Please note: Priority will be given to local NZ residence/citizens.

Tasks Include:

·       Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients

·       Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods

·       Preparing pastry fillings

·       Operating machines which roll and mould dough

·       Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to set baking times

·       Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of bakery products

·       Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing

·       Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment

·       Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
