We’re a busy and well-established café located in Parnell, Auckland, known for our quality coffee and delicious takeaway meals. We’re currently on the lookout for an experienced Café Manager to lead our team and ensure smooth daily operations.

Your responsibilities:

·      Manage day-to-day café operations, including overseeing opening and closing procedures.

·      Ensure the equipment and café remains clean, organised, and runs efficiently.

·      Manage costs, labour adhering to budget and focus on maintaining profitability.

·      Manage financial transactions

·      Deliver excellent customer service by handling inquiries, feedback, and complaints.

·      Develop menus and maintain food quality and presentation by work closely with kitchen staff.

·      Implement and manage promotional strategies and deals to attract more customers.

·      Recruit, train, and supervise team members to ensure top-notch service.

·      Schedule staff shifts and arrange cover for absences when needed.

·      Train staff on food handling, customer service, and other essential skills.

·      Plan and manage inventory, order supplies.

·      Establish relationships with vendors and suppliers.

·      Ensure the café complies with all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.

·      Handle any operational issues and ensure smooth workflow and team cooperation.

 

Requirements:

·      Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, or a relevant diploma Level 5 or higher qualification.

·      Strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism in customer service.

·      Excellent personal hygiene and grooming.

·      Early morning availability is essential, we open in early morning.

·      Ability to stay calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

·      Reliable and Trustworthy.

·      Positive attitude, punctuality, and a genuine passion for food and hospitality.

We offer $28 to $35 per hour depending on your experience, 30 to 40 hours a week
