Our modern Thai street food restaurant, ESARN ROCKET, located in Westmere, is looking for a Duty Manager to join our small but busy team.

As Duty Manager, you will take charge of the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and help elevate our customer experience through warm hospitality and our authentic Thai cuisine.

 

 

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of work experience at the restaurant management roles e.g. duty manager, supervisor or assistant manager.

  • A New Zealand (or relevant) qualification in hospitality is preferred but not mandatory

  • Must hold a current Licence Controller Qualification and Manager's Certificate 

  • Knowledge of Thai cuisine is preferred and will be considered an advantage.

Job Description

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient service.

  • Fulfill the responsibilities of a Duty Manager, making sure all activities align with company guidelines and legal requirements.

  • Supervise and support the team, including staff training, development, and performance reviews.

  • Handle customer feedback, concerns, and queries in a professional and timely manner to maintain high satisfaction levels.

  • Track inventory, manage stock levels, and coordinate the ordering of supplies as needed.

  • Create and manage restaurant’s beverage and alcohol menus.

  • Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are followed in the workplace.

  • Uphold and enforce consistent service quality and hospitality standards.

  • Organize and maintain staff schedules and shift planning.

  • Support financial tasks such as managing cash flow, performing end-of-day reconciliations, and preparing reports.

  • Communicate regularly with upper management and provide insights into daily operations and team performance.

This is a full-time and permanent position with minimum 30 hours per week

Start rate is $29 - $30 per hour with weekly payment 

You will be required to work weekends and be available for a rotating roster.
