About the Position – Director of Nursing (Canberra)
As Director of Nursing, you’ll be overseeing the strategic and day-to-day operations of a busy, specialised day hospital delivering services in ophthalmology, endoscopy, and general surgery.

You’ll play a pivotal role in:
  • Leading and mentoring a skilled nursing and clinical team
  • Overseeing P&L and full operational performance
  • Building effective working relationships with VMOs and clinical partners
  • Ensuring compliance, safety, and continuous quality improvement
  • Driving business growth and service innovation
  • Creating a positive, high-performing team culture centred around outstanding patient care
What We’re Looking For
  • AHPRA-registered Registered Nurse
  • Strong perioperative clinical background is essential
  • Proven leadership experience in a DON, ADON, or NUM role
  • Solid understanding of accreditation and compliance standards
  • Commercial mindset with financial management experience
  • Proactive, collaborative leadership style and strong interpersonal skills
