The Raglan Wharf Kitchen & Bar is a Raglan favourite, located (as the name suggests) at the popular wharf, with views overlooking the harbour. We serve fresh, seasonal cuisine in a relaxed bistro environment.  We are open 7 days and can accommodate up to 100 guests.  An opportunity has arisen for a Manager to take full charge of the day-to-day running of the business.

  • Key Responsibilities

    As our Restaurant Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring excellence in service, food quality, and guest satisfaction. Your duties will include:

    • Menu Development: Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and update menus, balancing creativity with cost efficiency.

    • Inventory & Purchasing: Manage stock levels, supplier relationships, and budget-friendly purchasing.
    • Financial Oversight: Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and staff payroll.

    • Compliance & Hygiene: Ensure all dining facilities meet health and safety regulations.

    • Customer Engagement: Interact with guests to gather feedback and resolve any concerns.

    • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff.

    • Front-of-House Support: Assist with reservations, greeting guests, and service during peak times.

    • Special Functions: Organize and manage special functions, private dining, and promotional events.

    Our ideal person will have:

    • Proven experience in & a passion for hospitality. 

    • A strong work ethic and determination/ability to step up and succeed as a Manager.
    • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

    • Outstanding customer service skills.

    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    • LCQ & Managers Certificate.
