About Us:

HY Engineering LTD is an Auckland based and small but growing company specializing in welding and spray painting services for construction projects.  We are now seeking a reliable and organized Office Manager to support our daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, small business environment and is willing to grow with the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily administrative tasks such as filing, organizing documents, managing emails and phone calls

  • Assist with preparing quotes, invoices, purchase orders, and basic client contracts

  • Support basic bookkeeping tasks and coordinate with the external accountant

  • Help manage the Director’s calendar and project-related coordination

  • Communicate with clients, suppliers, and contractors as needed

  • Maintain employee records and assist with health & safety documentation

  • Provide general support to the workshop team, including tracking materials and scheduling

 

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an NZQF Level 4 qualification in a related business or management field or a bachelor's degree in any discipline.
    Alternatively, at least two years of relevant work experience management or a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email)

  • Basic knowledge of bookkeeping or willingness to learn

  • Comfortable in a small, hands-on work environment

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is required due to business needs
