The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced and dedicated Anaesthetic Technician or RNAA to join our client's theatre team in their modern Hamilton facility. This is your chance to work alongside specialists, surgeons, and anaesthetists in delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive, values-driven environment.
 
Role Overview
As an Anaesthetic Technician or RNAA, you'll provide high-standard clinical assistance to Anaesthetists and deliver safe, appropriate, quality patient and family-centered care. This role reports to the Theatre Services Manager and offers the perfect balance of clinical excellence and collaborative teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
  • Utilise technical and clinical judgment to assess perioperative requirements
  • Provide patient care and assistance during all aspects of anaesthetic administration
  • Promote a culturally sensitive environment that prioritises patient safety and wellbeing
  • Build and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
  • Collaborate effectively with Medical Specialists and colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and healthcare policies
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Actively participate in personal and professional development
What You'll Bring
Required:
  • Qualification as an Anaesthetic Technician
  • Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of NZ as a certified Anaesthetic Technician
  • Previous experience in a healthcare facility
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a multi-disciplinary team
Desirable:
  • Private healthcare experience
  • Evidence of ongoing clinical and professional development
