IFORTYTHIRTYONE LIMITED is seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant located in Auckland. The ideal candidate will be a passionate hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a customer-first attitude.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant operations

  • Lead, train, and manage a team of kitchen and service staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences

  • Develop and implement operational procedures to maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and food quality

  • Manage staff rosters, recruitment, and performance evaluations

  • Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage cost control to ensure profitability

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and local food handling laws

  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and external service providers

  • Assist in planning and executing promotional events or special functions

  • Report regularly to company directors on operational performance and business development opportunities

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Have a minimum of a NZQF Level 4 qualification in a related business, management, hospitality filed or  a bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline. 
  • Alternatively, at least two years of relevant work experience or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
