We are looking for experienced receptionists to join our team located in beautiful Lake Tekapo.
The role is responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming, and efficient service to all hotel guests, in line with the hotel's vision and values on customer satisfaction.
You are required to provide courteous response to guests requests, play a part in the general running of the front of house desk and help the Front Office Manager to maintain a smooth room booking service.
Your day-to-day tasks also include (but not limited to):
- Answering calls promptly and correctly;
- Greeting guests properly in person or on the phone;
- Allocating rooms;
- Making reservations for groups, FITs and walk-ins;
- Knowledge of services provided by our hotel, services available for surrounding areas, Roomaster system, rooms rates, special rates and hotel room aspects;
- Other routine tasks as per required by the team leader/manager.
For the right candidates, you need to demontrate:
- At least 1-year experience as hotel receptionist, with knowledge of tourism in South Island, New Zealand
- Friendly and welcoming approach with high standard of dress and presentation
- Ability to remain calm in difficult situations or busy/stressful environment
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including pleasant phone manner
- Team working skills and administrative skills
- Ability to use email and booking systems
- Ability to work early in the morning, over the weekends or during public holidays
- Have your own means of transport to work for your shifts.
