Work for a leading disability support provider in Central Otago is seeking two dedicated and compassionate Support Tutors to join a residential and community-based support team in Alexandra.

This is a full-time position involving rostered shift work, including evenings and weekends - Minimum 30 hours guaranteed. You will be supporting individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

Support Tutor (Full-Time)
Location: Alexandra, Central Otago
2 Positions Available | Rostered Shifts Including Weekends
Pay range: NZD $28.00 – $30.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care, medication support, and help with daily routines

  • Facilitating participation in community activities and fostering life skills

  • Supporting communication with families/whānau and attending appointments

  • Assisting with maintaining a safe and respectful care environment

  • Accurate record-keeping and contributing to support planning

Skills and Experience:
To be eligible for this role, candidates must have either:

  • At least three years of relevant work experience, or

  • A minimum Level 4 qualification or equivalent in a related field such as Healthcare, Sciences, Disability Support, Wellness, or Care Support

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required

  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence is preferred

  • Strong communication skills and a values-driven, empathetic approach
