Required for our restaurant Located at PAPAKURA, AUCKLAND, New Zealand.

PAYRATE $26.00 to $29.70

The position is full time and permanent with 35 or more hours per week.

You will be required to work as per the roster, you need to be available on weekends and public Holidays.

ANAISHA HOSPITALITY LIMITED T/A ANA'S INDIAN KITCHEN is currently seeking for a Cook.

Required skills: The Cook needs to be able to make Indian Curry, Tandoor, Indo - Chinese, Different Style of Rices, etc.


Job duties:

Some of the duties and responsibilities you will be responsible for includes:

  • Ensure all food preparation meets the standards. Prepare and presenthigh-quality food.
  • Ensure all working areas are clean and tidy and ensure no cross-contamination.
  • Planned and organised the preparation and cooking of food for allorders.
  • Estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget and quality.
  • Creating new dishes and planning the whole menu according tomaintaining or raising profit margins.
  • Guiding correct and eff ective methods of cooking procedures to staff.
  • Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed.
  • Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
  • Interviewing, hiring and training new staff .
  • Fostering a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers.
  • Ensure food is of good quality and stored correctly.
  • Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
  • Discuss issues and concerns related to food preparation with themanager/owner.
  • Determine customer requirements and dietary needs to prepare thedish

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience for the role of Cook or the qualification of NZQA Level 2 can substitute the requirement of work experience.
  • The selected candidate will receive detailed training.
  • Basic communication skills and the basic knowledge of technology to operate the equipment.
  • Able to work independently and make decisions in the kitchen for the betterment of the business.
  • Pass random drug and alcohol tests (when required)
  • Clear criminal record
  • Have an excellent manner with people, especially team members.
  • Reliable and flexible to change.
  • Must be able to work across any shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Must be able to work in split shifts
  • Must be a fit, quick thinker, reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated
  • Able to lift weights up to 25kg.
