538 Great King Motel is a well-established accommodation provider located in Dunedin, offering comfortable and affordable stays for both domestic and international guests. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Motel Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, manage staff, and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the motel.

As a Motel Manager, you will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week on a rostered schedule. 

key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage reservations, front desk operations, room service, and housekeeping functions.
  • Supervise security procedures as well as garden and property maintenance activities.
  • Plan and coordinate bar, restaurant, event, and conference services.
  • Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, and other relevant regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate guest satisfaction to maintain high service standards.
  • Manage accounting processes and handle purchasing and inventory control.
  • Ensure all activities comply with occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Provide guests with local tourism advice and assist in arranging tours and transportation when needed.

About you

  • At least five years of relevant experience or
  • Relevant NZQF Diploma or above qualification
  • Physically fit with a clear criminal record
