Are you passionate about food and love creating flavourful Indian and Kiwi fusion dishes? We are a growing Indo-Kiwi takeaway looking for a few skilled and dedicated Cooks to join our team as we have purchased an existing business and looking to expand.
We plan to keep the takeaway open until 4am.
This is a full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours gauranteed.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparing, seasoning, and cooking a wide range of Indian and Kiwi-style dishes.

Planning and organizing daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service during extended hours.

Portioning food, plating meals, and ensuring presentation quality.

Monitoring stock and ordering supplies to maintain appropriate inventory.

Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards.

Cleaning kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a hygienic working environment.

Training and supervising kitchen assistants or junior staff as needed.
Skills & Experience Required:

Relevant experience as a cook or chef is essential. (preferably in Indian cuisine or fusion food).

Relevant qualification in cookery is essential if the work-experience requirement is not met.

Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.

Ability to work flexible shifts, including late nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Excellent time management and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
