Te Whiwhinga mahi – The opportunity We are seeking a reliable Administrator who will undertake various administrative tasks, ensuring our kaimahi (staff) have adequate support to work efficiently. You will be an asset to our growing Administration team based across the organisation. Our mahi as administrators is crucial to the organisation – we play a big part in supporting our kaimahi who work out in the community to do their jobs well! The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritising their mahi and working unsupervised. You will be self-motivated, trustworthy, and able to demonstrate initiative. To be successful in this role adaptability and maintaining a positive attitude are key! Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu – What you will bring Proven experience as an Office Administrator Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently, but also enjoy being part of a dynamic team Knowledge of MS Office and office management software Confidence to communicate and collaborate with diverse cultural groups, communities, and kaupapa Māori organisations, individuals and/or groups will be advantageous Exceptional time management Ability to think strategically, see the ‘big picture' The ability to always maintain a high level of professionalism and personal integrity Demonstrable understanding and commitment to a Te Ao Māori approach Some knowledge of Te Reo Māori would also be an advantage Nga kawenga matua o te mahi – key responsibilities of the role Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages) Create and update records and databases with personnel, and other data Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned Support and work closely with Team Leaders to initiate and implement procedures Support teams with administration tasks Be responsible for overseeing reception area, assisting manuhiri (visitors) Assist management with tasks as required Applications close 5pm, Friday 30 May 2025.
