Experienced Bakers

Join our bustling Bakery in Rotorua, Bay of plenty! We are seeking two or more experienced bakers to complement our hardworking crew.

As a Baker, your responsibilities include:

•         Checking equipment and machinery for cleanliness before starting production.
•         Checking quality of raw materials, weighing and measuring ingredients.
•         Making dough and fillings.
•         Preparing pastry fillings.
•         Baking a variety of goods.
•         Ensuring everything is baked just right.
•         Adding icing, glazes, and cream to finished products.
•         Keeping things clean and following food safety standards.
•         Monitoring ingredient quantities and freshness.
•         Doing some cleaning and machinery maintenance.

Qualifications/Work Experience:

• You must have either a relevant Level 4 qualification, OR
• at least 3 years of relevant experience in a commercial bakery, café, restaurant, hotel, or similar establishment.

•         Willingness to commence work early in the morning
•         Capacity to adhere to health and food safety regulations

Hours of Work

The position offers a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week and a maximum of 40 hours per week, with shift hours spanning from 2 am to 11 am, Monday through Sunday. Occasional work on public holidays may be required. Any additional hours will be compensated at the ordinary hourly rate.

The successful candidate must be able to pass drug tests and have a clean criminal record.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Hourly rate dependent on skills level and experience, in the range of $25 to $35per hour.
