Wage: $ 25.00 - $ 30.00 per hour
Hours: minimum 30 hours per week (rostered shifts, including weekends and evenings), maximum around 50 hours per week

About Us:
Onerahi Fish & Takeaway is a locally owned and well-established takeaway shop serving high-quality fish and chips, burgers, and classic Kiwi fast food. We are looking for a reliable and skilled Cook to join our friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Cook, you will be responsible for:

·       Preparing and cooking fish and chip shop menu items such as fish, chips, burgers, and deep-fried snacks in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards

·       Operating cooking equipment such as deep fryers, grills, and ovens safely and efficiently

·       Monitoring food quality and portion sizes

·       Storing and handling food safely and following cleaning schedules

·       Coordinating food preparation during busy periods to ensure timely service

·       Assisting in menu planning and stock management

·       Training and supervising kitchen assistants as required

Skills and Experience Required:

·       Minimum 1 year of relevant cooking experience in a commercial kitchen or takeaway environment

·       Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations

·       Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment

·       Good communication skills and a team player attitude

·       Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
