SEOULMATE BAYFAIR LIMITED, we are Chicken specialised restaurant in Mount Maunganui. We are currently seeking a Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless dining experience for our customers.

Employment Type: Permanent Full-time

Minimum guaranteed hours: at least 30 hours weekly - Max 45 hours

Location: 19 Girven Road, Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty

Job Description

Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships within the business to ensure the business operates smoothly
  • Looking for opportunities to improve procedures, and make improvements where appropriate
  • Ensuring the restaurant has a sufficient level of staff and stock levels to operate
  • Researching, negotiating, and ordering stock as needed and delegating staff to do the same
  • Working with management to ensure that wage cost and food cost fall within budgeted amounts
  • Discussing, preparing and pricing menus with chefs
  • Organising special functions or events when required
  • Being a constructive part of the team by taking and providing feedback in a professional manner
  • Staff selection, training and management
  • Ensuring facilities remain clean, tidy and compliant with health and safety regulations

Experience

Applicants for this role should have:

  • Relevant work experience (3 years at least), diploma or bachelor degree in any discipline
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to anticipate and meet the needs of discerning diners
  • Proficient in financial management, including budget planning, cost control, and inventory management
  • The highest standards of food and occupational safety and hygiene
  • A can do and professional attitude
