We are looking for 3 dedicated bakery assistants for our cafe based in St Martins, Christchurch. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week. This is a full time and permanent position. You will need to work according to the roster, including weekends so availability to work during weekends is essential.
Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

Assist in gathering and preparing bakery ingredients (flour, sugar, butter, etc.) for daily production.

Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately according to recipes.

Wash, peel, slice, and dice fruits, nuts, and other fillings for pastries and baked goods.

Assist in cutting, shaping, and preparing dough for bread, rolls, and pastries.

Remove baked goods from ovens and cool them properly for storage or display.

Clean and sanitize workstations, baking equipment, utensils, and storage areas.

Store ingredients, tools, and finished products in designated areas (pantries, refrigerators, display cases).

Assist in monitoring ingredient stock levels and inform the Baker or Supervisor when supplies are low.

Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace regulations at all times.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and reference check from previous employer.
