We are looking for a skilled and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) – Anaesthetics & PACU to join a high-performing surgical team in Brisbane, within a well-equipped short-stay private hospital.

The Role This is a full-time position ideal for a confident Perianaesthesia nurse ready to step into a leadership role. You will:
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary perioperative team
  • Support the NUM and senior leadership team in resource management and service delivery
  • Mentor and develop Anaesthetics, PACU, and Pre-op/Admission nurses
  • Drive quality patient outcomes and clinical standards
  • Operate within a state-of-the-art facility with:
    • 4 Operating Theatres
    • 1 Procedure Room
    • 12-bed PACU
    • 9-chair Stage 3 PACU
    • 6-bed surgical ward

✅ You Will Need:
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Extensive experience in Anaesthetics and/or PACU
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • Demonstrated leadership or shift coordination experience
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and decision-making skills
  • Availability to work a flexible weekday roster, with occasional Saturdays if desired
  • Experience across specialties such as Orthopaedics, IVF, Urology, Gastroenterology, and Plastic Surgery is highly regarded
