ANCIENT CUISINE LIMITED is based in Newmarket, Auckland. We are looking for two full-time Restaurant Duty Managers to join our team, you will be working for a minimum of 30 hours per week on a roster, and you will be responsible for:
Job Description:
- Partnering with chefs to design, plan, and update menus, including price settings
- Work closely with chefs to organize special orders, events, and functions.
- Overseeing the procurement and pricing of goods while adhering to budgetary limits.
- Keeping detailed records of inventory levels. Manage stock and place orders to suppliers, ensuring first in first out policy.
- Ensuring adherence to health regulations and maintaining the cleanliness and operational functionality of dining areas.
- Interacting with customers to gauge their satisfaction with meals and service.
- Recruiting, training, and supervising waitstaff and kitchen personnel.
- Schedule rosters and record attendance.
- Managing reservations, welcoming guests, and assisting with order-taking as needed.
- Responsible for daily financial transactions and may be responsible for dealing with the Chartered accountant if needed.
- Performing any other reasonable duties assigned by the employer or company.
About you:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the same field OR
- NZQF Level 4 qualification or above
- Physically fit with a clear criminal record
