We are looking for a restaurant manager to join our team.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of work experience at the management level in any industry, including as an assistant manager, manager in training, or supervisor, OR

  • At least a relevant New Zealand Register Level 5 Diploma qualification (or an equivalent overseas qualification), such as in Business Administration.

  • Must have a Licence Controller Qualification approved by NZQA

  • Must have work experience in the customer service field

  • Must have knowledge of Thai food ingredients, as we take food allergies seriously

Job Descriptions

  • Collaborate with chefs to plan and develop Thai menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

  • Coordinate and oversee the organisation of special events and functions to ensure seamless execution.

  • Manage procurement and pricing of food and supplies in line with budgetary guidelines and quality standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock levels, and financial transactions for operational efficiency.

  • Ensure the restaurant complies with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean, functional, and visually appealing dining environment.

  • Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure high levels of satisfaction with food and service.

  • Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff to uphold service standards and team performance.

  • Oversee guest relations, including managing reservations, welcoming guests, and occasionally assisting with order taking during peak times.

  • Acts as the Duty Manager when the restaurant serves liquor, ensuring compliance with all relevant alcohol service laws and regulations.

Other Details

  • This is a full-time and permanent position

  • The wage is $26.50 to $30.00 per hour, with weekly payments

  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

  • You will be working at 3/162 Harbour Village Drive, Gulf Harbour, Whangaparaoa

  • You will work according to a roaster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (maximum of 48 hours)
