Job Title: Assistant Manager

 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

·         To ensure the highest level of food and customer service are provided and strive to continually exceed customer’s expectations.

·         To make marketing decision and devise promotion methods

·         To manage suppliers and products, and control the stock levels

·         To consult with the chefs on menu planning and purchasing policy

·         To plan budget and manage the profit and loss

·         To supervise chef and staff and assess staff competency

·         To carry out on recruitment and staff training

·         To communicate with customers, and respond to requests and feedbacks

·         To ensure compliance with governmental and occupational health and safety Acts and regulations.

·         To implement and reinforce restaurant standards, policies and procedures

·         To handle complaints effectively and deal with difficult customers

·         To carry out other duties as directed by Manager and Director

 

Pay rate: Minimum $24.00/ hour   Maximum $28.00/ hour

 

Guaranteed hours of work per week:  Minimum 40 hours,   permanent full-time

 

Requirements for the job:

·         At least 6 months of relevant work experience

·         Qualification in management would be an advantage

·         Strong understanding of business management

·         Excellent problem-solving, and customer service skills

·         Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

·         Full time availability

·         Able to work on public holidays and weekends

·         No criminal record

·         Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
