Job description

 

We are a famous local Chinese restaurant offering delicious Chinese cuisine and an extensive beverage selection in the heart of Newmarket. We are open 7 days from 11 am to 9:30 pm.

We are looking for two restaurant managers who will help our director to lead the Front of House team and work with the kitchen to ensure a smooth running of service. This role will mainly include:

  • Day-to-day operation of the restaurant, including taking table booking phone calls and making appropriate arrangements.
  • Ensuring efficient Front of House operation.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality, including keeping dining facilities, and complying with health regulations and standards.
  • Assessing customers' satisfaction with meals and services.
  • Planning menus and special functions in consultation with chefs.
  • Assisting the director in developing and implementing marketing strategies, including promotional campaigns and social media management.
  • Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to the budget.
  • Checking and maintaining stock levels. Monitoring and recording daily financial transactions, then reporting to the director.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising front-of-house and kitchen staff.
  • Setting up the shift schedules for staff and arranging their routines.
  • Handle guest complaints efficiently & effectively.

 

Job requirements

  • great teamwork skills,
  • excellent time management skills,
  • fair computer skills,
  • Multi-language skills are preferable,
  • holds at least a Diploma in the management area or has 3 years of related experience.
