Adiyogi Limited is looking for a talented cook to join our dynamic kitchen team! It is a full-time permanent role with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Examine raw ingredients and finished dishes to ensure they meet required standards of quality, freshness, and safety.
Oversee the proper operation of cooking equipment, including ovens, grills, stoves, and fryers. Adjust temperatures and settings to ensure consistent and even cooking, preventing overcooking or undercooking of dishes.
Prepare a wide variety of dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Use advanced cooking techniques and follow recipes meticulously to create meals that meet the restaurant's culinary standards.
Monitor the seasoning process throughout cooking. Adjust salt, spices, and other flavoring ingredients to bring out the best taste in every dish. Ensure flavor profiles are consistent with the restaurant's menu.
Accurately portion food to meet serving size requirements. Carefully plate dishes with appropriate garnishes, sauces, and gravies to ensure they are visually appealing and meet presentation standards
Store food items in temperature-controlled facilities to prevent spoilage. Follow strict protocols for the proper handling, storage, and labeling of food to comply with food safety regulations.
Prepare meals to meet specific dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, or allergen-free requests. Pay close attention to detail in order to provide safe and delicious options for all guests.
Assist in planning menus by providing input on dish ideas, portion sizes, and ingredient costs. Help estimate food requirements based on anticipated customer volume, and ensure that ingredients are available in the right quantities to avoid shortages.
What We're Looking For:
The successful candidates must hold 1 year of work experience OR a minimum Level 3 qualification
A passion for cooking and an eye for detail.
Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
