Hotpot Duke is a leading Chinese restaurant offering hotpot and other Chinese dishes in Auckland. We now need a kitchenhand to help us provide top-quality food. This is a full-time job with guaranteed hours of 30 hours per week, but you will normally be required to work around 40 hours.  

The job involves the following tasks and duties:  

· Cleaning raw food materials

· Preparing raw food material by cutting, filling, and chopping

· Cleaning kitchen area, dishes, cooking utensils, and cooking equipment

· May be required to serve dishes or clean tables

· Packing and transferring food material and dishes

· May be required to perform some cooking tasks

· Perform other reasonable tasks required by the cooking staff

 

To qualify for the job:

  • No prior work experience or qualifications are required. However, preference will be given to those who have experience in a similar role or the hospitality industry.
  • You may be required to work on weekends and late at night (around 1am).
  • Have a can-do attitude and be able to work effectively under pressure, as our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours.
  • You should also have good attention to detail to make sure everything that goes through your hands is thoroughly clean.
