We are looking for One full-time RESTAURANT MANAGER to join our growing company in the Wellington region. 

Pay rate: minimum $28/hour - maximum $34/hour

Guaranteed hours of work per week: at least 30 hours per week, hours may adjust based on the workload, but the maximum working hours would be 50 hours.

The location of work will be within the Wellington Region

Requirements for the job:

  • This role is required to be able to work on weekends and cover late-nights shifts.
  • Must be physically fit.
  • 2 years relevant experience, or a level 5-6 relevant qualifcation or a Bachelor qualification in any field.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Long-term and full commitments are required.
  • Be able to pass a police check.

  

The duties include:

  • Operational Management: Participate and oversee daily restaurant activities, including reservation, food and beverage services, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Team Management: Lead the staff, handle scheduling, and oversee performance and training.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Handle customer complaints professionally and strive for high levels of satisfaction.
  • Communication: Act as a bridge for kitchen and serving staff and customers, ensuring clear communication across the restaurant.
  • Liquor Service: Hold a valid Liquor License Qualification (LCQ) and ensure that the restaurant complies with New Zealand liquor laws and regulations.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage records, invoices, receipts, and inventory, and assist with budget planning with chef.
  • Quality Control: Inspect food preparation and service areas to maintain a high standard of the restaurant.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with New Zealand occupational health and safety regulations and guidelines, and handle any emergencies effectively.
