We are looking for an Accommodation Manager to lead our operational team and ensure the delivery of outstanding guest experiences. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for hospitality and an understanding of New Zealand’s regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- A diploma in Hospitality or Hotel Management (or equivalent) Or
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel operations, including at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory capacity Or
- A bachelor’s degree in any field, demonstrating key skills such as problem-solving, communication, time management, leadership, teamwork, learning agility, adaptability, professionalism, and accountability.
- Understanding of NZ hospitality laws, health & safety regulations, and operational compliance.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing a diverse team and handling performance-based evaluations.
- Exceptional communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for assisting others
- Capable of handling pressure and multitasking effectively
- Enjoys taking challenges
- Punctual, reliable, and in good health
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily housekeeping and guest services operations, ensuring rooms, public areas, and service spaces consistently meet high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
- Develop and implement cleaning and maintenance protocols, ensuring alignment with New Zealand public health, fire safety, and building regulations.
- Monitor and enforce occupational health and safety procedures, including staff training, incident reporting, and safe work practices.
- Maintain quality control across guest-facing services, in collaboration with the F&B and wellness departments.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices, implementing necessary changes across procedures and documentation.
- Manage internal audits and reporting, contributing to operational planning, budget forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
