Rapa 2019 Limited are a New Zealand operated liquor store in Hamilton offering a huge range of specialty beers, quality spirits and fine wines to our customers. We are looking for a dynamic and passionate leader to take over the Assistant/Duty Store Manager position to help with the smooth running of our busy store located in the heart of Hamilton.

 ASSISTANT/DUTY MANAGER


 The Role:

As the ASSISTANT/Duty Manager you will be responsible for managing and leading the day-to-day service of Store, ensuring that customer expectations are exceeded, when on duty you will be responsible for ensuring that the store is operating in compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act. You will also play an important role in ensuring that you help create a work environment that is both safe and enjoyable for all team members.


 You will be responsible for maintaining high standard of customer service in store, assisting
 the manager in recruitment, training, promoting staff budgeting, financial forecast and
 marketing, responding to customer inquiries and complaints about goods and services, taking inventory of goods for sale and ordering new stock, develop, execute and manage
 merchandising program for the store, ensure staff comply with safety policies and security
 procedures, assigning staff duties and planning and preparing the work schedules.


 A successful candidate should have:

 • Relevant experience of at least 2-3 years OR Level 4 or Higher qualification;

 • Good organizational and communications skills.

 • Have a strong work ethic and be able to work well under pressure, honest and very reliable.

 • Have a passion for wine and good knowledge of spirits and beer range.

  • Preferably hold a valid LCQ and Duty Managers Certificate


 All roles are permanent roles of a minimum of 30 hours per week. Remuneration will be
 discussed with you upon successful application – ranging between $25 - $30 depending on
 experience.


 We operate until late in the evening and are open 7 days per week. So, flexibility of working
 across 7 days a week required including Weekends and Holidays.


Successful applicants must undergo a Ministry of Justice Criminal Records Check. Must hold
 a valid driving license and be eligible to work in NZ.
