Cafe Manager

We are seeking a self-motivated professional to take on the role of Cafe Manager at business in Auckland.

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations and managing the staff of our café service, ensuring smooth, efficient operations and delivering a high-quality customer experience.The position guarantees 30 hours of work per week, with a competitive pay rate raning from $24.00 to $24.00 per hour.

Key tasks of the position will include:  

    • Oversee the daily operations of café services, ensuring smooth and efficient service while maintaining a modern, customer-focused experience.
    •Manage menu development and adjust offerings based on customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and current food trends.
    • Oversee staffing, including recruitment, training, and motivation, to ensure high service standards and operational consistency.
    • Manage inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels, timely orders, and reduced waste.
    • Ensure consistent food and beverage quality, maintaining presentation and preparation standards across all services.
    • Develop and implement pricing and marketing strategies that align with profitability goals and market trends.
    • Select suppliers and procure premium ingredients and products that align with budget requirements and operational needs.
    • Analyze sales performance and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement, driving growth and improving service.
    • Monitor financial performance, managing budgeting and cost control measures to optimize profitability.
    • Handle escalated customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally, ensuring a welcoming and engaging atmosphere at all locations.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, upholding industry standards and best practices.
    • Continuously assess and refine operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall customer experience.

 

To be successful in this role you will need to: 

    • Hold a Diploma at level 5 in Business or Management or Hospitality  
    • Flexibility to work full time including weekends and public holidays
    • Health and Safety conscious
    • Excellent communication skill – both written and verbal
    • Ability to deliver exceptional service standards
