We are looking for a Cleaner to join our small team. The position is fulltime and can start immediately. Hours are flexible and may include night shifts and weekends depending on the job orders. We guarantee of 30 hours per week.

We are looking for reliable people with good working attitude who are well presented with good numeracy skills and a good command of written and spoken English. As well you must have the ability to work within the required time frames get along with other staff and have a real interest and passion for cleaning work. Must have a proven work history and good references. Must also be physically fit and healthy as some heavy lifting is involved to fulfill the requirements of ther role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General Cleaning Tasks

  • Vacuum carpets, curtains, and upholstered furniture
  • Clean, dust, and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings
  • Remove dust and dirt from ceilings, walls, overhead pipes, and fixtures

Waste Management

  • Remove rubbish and recyclable materials
  • Empty containers, bins, and trays

Floor Maintenance

  • Strip old wax from floors
  • Re-wax and polish floor surfaces
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to clean floors and work areas

Bathroom and Laundry Sanitation

  • Clean and disinfect laundry and bathroom fixtures
  • Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies
  • Report defective plumbing fixtures

Special Surface Treatments

  • Apply acids and solvents to remove stains and dirt from various surfaces

Industrial and Machinery Cleaning

  • Clean machines and work areas using industrial vacuum equipment
  • Remove lint, dust, soot, oil, grease, sludge, and other residues from:
    • Machinery
    • Hulls and holds of ships
    • Interiors and exteriors of furnaces and boilers

 

Qualification/Work Experience: Having a relevant work experience is an advantage

Work Type: Permanent Full time

Wage: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Location: Waikato
