We are seeking 2 experienced Cook to deliver quality food to our customers. Our menu is continually updated to enhance the eating and dining experience. 

Noodle canteen with Malay/Chinese dishes.

Work location: Blenheim

Hourly rate: 23-30NZD/hour before tax

Duties 

  • Meal production, can meet customers’ individual preference and special dietary needs.

  • Maintain appearance, hygiene, and presentation of meals, ensuring serving flavor appropriate to customers’ needs and preferences.

  • Ensure adequate food supplies are available for food preparation and for customer and staff meals.

  • Assist in the menu planning for local customers

  • Maintain a strict level of hygiene both personal and with equipment, utensils, and food.

  • Contribute to Compliance, particularly related to food.

  • Support training Apprentice and other kitchen personnel.

  • Maintain appropriate records regarding storage and safe handling of food.

Hours 

You will work up to 6 days per week:

  • at least 60hrs per fortnight up to full-time.

  • will be required to work on weekends

  • Actual Days and Shifts will be finalised with successful candidate

  • Shift, weekend, overtime, and other penalties apply.

Skills & Background

  • Must be at least two-year relevant experienced 

  • Must be experienced in preparing a range of food options, experienced in cooking asian foods, especially Malay and Chinese.
