Bartender

Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team and provide exceptional service to our patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take orders from patrons for drinks.

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons.

• Create and follow cocktail recipes using garnishes and other specialized ingredients.

• Check identification to verify legal drinking age.

• Clean and maintain the bar area, including equipment and utensils.

• Stock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.

• Monitor patrons for signs of intoxication and refuse service as necessary.

• Assist with bar opening and closing procedures.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience, or a relevant qualification of NZQF Level 2 or 3, or a bachelor's degree in any fields may replace the requirement of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
• Can travel and work at two locations within Nelson.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.

• Responsible and reliable with excellent time management skills.

Benefits:

• Competitive rate: $25-$27 NZD.

• The role is based on an assured 30-hour working week, maximum is 45 hours a week.
