We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Manager to lead our bar team and ensure outstanding customer service in Auckland region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about hospitality and looking to grow in a dynamic, people-focused environment. You will be required to work between minimum 30 hours to maximum 45 hours per week. You must be to work late evenings including weekends/public holidays. As the key contact with the customers, you will be tasked with creating memorable experiences through your top-notch service.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

·        Supervise and support staff in serving alcoholic beverages responsibly and pleasantly

·        Ensure the bar area is always clean, well-organized, and presentable

·        Deliver effective and friendly customer service in line with company standards

·        Monitor performance and ensure key financial and operational targets are met

·        Ability to adapt to and abide by culture of company.

·        Oversee stock control, ordering, and inventory for smooth daily operations

·        Manage inventory of beverages, garnishes, and bar supplies.

·        Ensure proper storage and handling of alcohol and perishables.

·        Monitor bar budgets, costs, and profitability.

·        Control waste, theft, and over-pouring to protect profits.

·        Lead the team of the Company and ensure company standards are maintained.

·        Dealing with staffing issues such as interview potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organising training and development.

·        Bring new ideas to the business to promote and maximise the profit level.

      Make sure the store is clean, stock level is up and ready for next day, take customers feedback and maintain a feedback register.

     Frequently conversation with customers to measure and improve their satisfaction with their business experience.

      Receives and resolves guest complaints and customer issue.

     Ensure the business meets all the health requirement in food preparation and the general kitchen areas are kept clean to regulations requirements, including Sale of liquor act, Food Safety and Hygiene Act and Employment Relations Act

 

Key requirements

 

ü  To be successful you must have at least 2 years of experience in a relevant role

ü  Must be physical fit, reliable and punctual

ü  Be able to work well in a team environment

ü  Clean Character background

ü  Strong leadership and communication skills

ü  High level of personal and professional organizational skills

ü  Must pass pre-employment drug test/alcohol test and must comply with all the times at the workplace.

 

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $30 per hour to $35 per hour.
