Executive Barista is responsible for monitoring day-to-day operation of cafe as a senior barista, evaluating the skill levels of other baristas, and interacting with them for upskilling and maintaing quality of service and products through formal and on-the-job training. The person is required practical knowledge and skills to train other baristas as well as excellent barista skills to demonstrate their skills as a role model.
Tasks
Executive Barista will be performed the following tasks.
- Greeting customers and delivering excellent customer service. Preparing coffees and other beverages to a high standard of taste and quality.
- Making recommendations to customers and answering any questions. Coordinate orders for ALL Baristas and waiters to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Manage orders for stock and coffee supplies.
- Maintain and clean coffee machines. Organise service where needed. Train and set standards for ALL Baristas and Wait Staff.
- Monitor and maintain hygiene and cleaning standards.
- Liaise with Director, Manager, coffee roasters and management to ensure the smooth running of operations and delivery of quality products. Ensure your team is working as efficiently as possible and provide an excellent experience for your customers
- To excel as a leader and nurture a strong team.
- To invent and maintain new seasonal coffee based beverages. Research new techniques and technology in the coffee and beverage industry and apply them to Remedy Coffee to ensure
- Supervise, lead and control daily operations when necessary. Stock and cash up handling.
Skills
The position requires the following skills and knowledge.
- Verifiable, relevant work experience for at least 5 years or equivalent qualification;
- Sufficient knowledge in New Zealand hospitality industry;
- Practical barista skills and knowledge to train train other baristas;
- Sufficent English proficiency to carry out above duties;
