Balmoral Bakery & Cafe in Tokoroa currently look for a Bakery Manager. Working hours is from 36 to 42 hours per week. Pay rate ranges from $29 to $31 per hour. 

Suitable candidates must have the following skills and attributes:

  • Able to start at 4am; available to work on weekends and public holidays.

  • Have relevant qualification (at diploma level or above) or 3 years relevant work experience. 

  • Have good customer service and communication skills.

  • Have strong organizational and management skills.

  • Have excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Be responsible, reliable and can work well under pressure.

  • Have ability to lead and motivate the team.

Your duties will include:

  • Plan menus and specials.

  • Determine selling price of food and beverage. 

  • Order supplies, resolve any issue in relation to supplies. 

  • Keep record of stock level and financial transactions, manage cashflow.

  • Plan and organise to accommodate special orders. 

  • Identify ways to retain and attract customers and decrease operational costs.

  • Obtain customer feedback, resolve any complaints about food quality and service.

  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensure staff carries out all duties efficiently. 

  • Prepare roaster and find suitable replacements for staff absence.

  • Ensure the bakery comply with health regulations and functional, look clean and appealing to customers. 

  • Perform any other related duties.
