We’re looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Mental Health to help shape a secure inpatient unit in regional Victoria.

What you’ll actually be doing:
  • Running the show when your NUM’s not there — and guiding the team when they are
  • Allocating shifts and making calls that keep care safe, calm, and clear
  • Supporting a mix of mental health clinicians across disciplines
  • Mentoring new staff and students (they’ll remember how you made them feel)
  • Being the kind of clinical lead others trust when things get tough
You’re probably already doing this, but without the title:
  • You’re a Registered Nurse with postgrad mental health credentials (or equivalent)
  • You’ve got at least 2 years’ recent mental health experience
  • You make solid clinical decisions without ego
  • You’ve got team-building instincts and emotional intelligence that matter more than buzzwords
  • You want to work somewhere where the policies don’t just sit in binders
