We’re Hiring: Restaurant Managers (2 Positions)
Location: Rolleston, Canterbury Region
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
Pay Rate: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour

Rostered Shifts: Must be available to work weekends and according to a roster

 

We are currently looking for two dynamic and proactive Restaurant Managers to oversee operations at our busy Indian restaurants in Rolleston. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced individuals who thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations and performance of the restaurant
  • Plan and analyze sales, budgets, and profitability
  • Maintain accurate records for budgets, stock, and employees
  • Monitor food stock levels and ensure consistent supply of fresh ingredients
  • Gather and respond to customer feedback
  • Enforce company policies and staff uniform standards
  • Manage reservations, greet guests, and handle phone/in-person orders
  • Ensure compliance with NZ food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Collaborate with chefs to plan menus based on customer preferences
  • Organize marketing activities, promotions, and weekly flyers
  • Supervise, train, and schedule front- and back-of-house staff
  • Handle purchasing, weekly ordering, and price goods within budget
  • Check quality and presentation of incoming food deliveries
  • Prepare sales and staff performance reports
  • Manage end-of-day cash-up, reconciliation, and facility security
  • Maintain stock of restaurant equipment and supplies
  • Build strong relationships with both staff and customers
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs as needed

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A passion for food and a commitment to excellent service
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
  • A friendly, energetic, and team-oriented personality
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience, or a Level 4+ qualification in hospitality or management
  • A current General Manager’s Certificate with LCQ (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays
