Job Summary
We are looking for a experienced manager to plan, organise, direct, and control the operations of a KTV (karaoke) entertainment venue, ensuring smooth daily operations, outstanding customer experiences, compliance with legal requirements, and achievement of business performance targets.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Plan, organise, and coordinate KTV venue operations, including customer bookings, entertainment scheduling, and special events.
- Oversee the maintenance and performance of karaoke machines, audio-visual equipment, and lighting systems.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and service quality.
Staff Supervision and Development
- Recruit, train, and manage staff such as receptionists, servers, and technical support personnel.
- Prepare staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
- Monitor staff performance, conduct appraisals, and provide training to maintain high service standards.
Customer Service and Engagement
- Ensure patrons receive prompt, courteous, and professional service.
- Handle customer feedback, inquiries, and complaints effectively.
- Organise and promote special entertainment nights, competitions, and themed events to enhance customer engagement.
Financial and Inventory Control
- Manage budgets, monitor income and expenses, and ensure profitability targets are met.
- Oversee daily cash handling, sales reconciliation, and preparation of management reports.
- Maintain stock levels for beverages, snacks, and consumables, ensuring timely ordering and cost control.
Safety, Compliance, and Licensing
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
- Implement and maintain security procedures to protect patrons, staff, and property.
- Conduct regular safety checks and ensure staff are trained in emergency procedures.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality, leisure management, or at least two years’ experience in managing entertainment or amusement venues.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Financial management skills including budgeting, reporting, and stock control.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment and karaoke systems is advantageous.
- Multi-language proficiency, especially Asian languages is preferred.
