Job Summary
We are looking for a experienced manager to plan, organise, direct, and control the operations of a KTV (karaoke) entertainment venue, ensuring smooth daily operations, outstanding customer experiences, compliance with legal requirements, and achievement of business performance targets.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Plan, organise, and coordinate KTV venue operations, including customer bookings, entertainment scheduling, and special events.
  • Oversee the maintenance and performance of karaoke machines, audio-visual equipment, and lighting systems.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and service quality.

Staff Supervision and Development

  • Recruit, train, and manage staff such as receptionists, servers, and technical support personnel.
  • Prepare staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Monitor staff performance, conduct appraisals, and provide training to maintain high service standards.

Customer Service and Engagement 

  • Ensure patrons receive prompt, courteous, and professional service.
  • Handle customer feedback, inquiries, and complaints effectively.
  • Organise and promote special entertainment nights, competitions, and themed events to enhance customer engagement.

Financial and Inventory Control

  • Manage budgets, monitor income and expenses, and ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Oversee daily cash handling, sales reconciliation, and preparation of management reports.
  • Maintain stock levels for beverages, snacks, and consumables, ensuring timely ordering and cost control.

Safety, Compliance, and Licensing

  • Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
  • Implement and maintain security procedures to protect patrons, staff, and property.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and ensure staff are trained in emergency procedures.

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Relevant qualifications in hospitality, leisure management, or at least two years’ experience in managing entertainment or amusement venues.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Financial management skills including budgeting, reporting, and stock control.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Knowledge of audio-visual equipment and karaoke systems is advantageous.
  • Multi-language proficiency, especially Asian languages is preferred.
