Key Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, sterilise, and reprocess surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Operate autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other sterilisation equipment
• Perform testing to ensure sterilisation effectiveness
• Comply with infection prevention protocols and AS/NZS 4187 standards
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all quality checks are completed
• Work closely with theatre staff and other hospital departments to meet demand
• Contribute to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Need

Qualifications

• Sterile Services Certificate (Level 3 or above) or equivalent hospital CSSD experience

Experience and Skills

• Previous experience in a CSSD or sterile services setting (hospital or healthcare)
• Knowledge of sterilisation techniques, infection control, and instrument reprocessing
• Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative, team-focused approach with commitment to patient safety

• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
