We are a busy and popular bakery café in Whangamata, looking for people with passion and the right skills.

Paradise Bakery Café is looking for full-time bakers to join our team at our bakery in Whangamata.

You will be part of a professional and vibrant team that has fun at work and gives 100% to satisfy the needs of our discerning customers.

Your duties will include:

  • Preparing and baking all bakery items, including breads, cakes and pastry goods
  • Working with suppliers to maintain the quality of supplies and raw ingredients

  • ·       Preparing dough and pastry goods, including measuring, weighing, kneading, moulding, mixing, etc.

  • Baking, icing, and decorating cakes for customer orders as well as for display
  • Preparing and baking pastries, including appropriate fillings.

  • ·       Producing other bakery-specific products as required, i.e. scones, muffins, biscuits, slices, fresh cream products, pies, sausage rolls, pizzas, etc.

  • Maintain daily production schedule and minimise wastage

Ideally, our applicant would have the following:

A minimum of one year of experience as a Baker

We operate from Monday to Sunday, so your weekly roster may require you to work weekends.

In return, we offer:

Attractive hourly rate, i.e. $27 – 29

Flexible working hours with a guarantee of a minimum of 30 hours per week. Opportunity for advancement.

Understanding and supporting management.
