Job Requirements:

 

Experience: Minimum of 2 yearsexperience in the relevant field  (can be waived based on qualification)

Education: At least Level 4 qualification in a relevant field (can be waived based on work experience)

 

Key Responsibilities

Preparing and baking bread, rolls, buns, cakes, pastry, and other baked goods according to recipes and production requirements.

Weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients manually or using bakery machinery to ensure product consistency.

Setting oven temperatures and operating baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofing machines.

Monitoring baking process to achieve required standards of quality, texture, and appearance.

Decorating and finishing baked products, including glazing, icing, and garnishing.

Ensuring hygiene, food safety, and workplace health and safety compliance at all times.

Managing stock levels, ordering ingredients, and minimizing waste.

Assisting in developing new recipes and specialty baked goods to meet customer preferences.

Supervising or training bakery assistants and apprentices as required.

Skills and Requirements

Proven experience as a Baker or relevant qualification in bakery/patisserie.

Knowledge of bakery equipment operation and food hygiene practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and creativity in product presentation.

Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
